‘Organisers of AMVCA praised by Toyin Abraham as Funke Akindele misses out
Toyin Abraham, a well-known Nollywood actress and producer, commended the organisers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) for the remarkable success of this year's event.
The 10th edition of the AMVCA has stirred up some controversy, particularly due to the absence of Funke Akindele's acclaimed film, 'A Tribe Called Judah'.
Despite being the first Nigerian movie to surpass N1 billion in cinema earnings last December, 'A Tribe Called Judah' failed to secure any of its five nominations.
Contrary to Akindele's disappointment, Toyin Abraham, her rival, hailed this year's edition as the "best and most authentic" yet.
