A tragic incident: Man confesses to killing his three months pregnant girlfriend

Mustapha Idris, 29 years old from Ringim Local Government Area Jigawa state, was arrested for the murder of his 20-year-old girlfriend, Nafisa Hashimu, who was three months pregnant with his child.   According to Audu Jinjiri, the state police command spokesperson, Mustapha and Hashimu, who was a divorcee, were living together as partners in Daneji village. Upon discovering her pregnancy, Mustapha reacted in anger, ultimately stabbing her to death. Tragic Incident: Associate Professor Passes Away Due to Unavailability of N200 Cannula at Jigawa General Hospital

Tragedy struck when a consultant urologist and associate professor of Surgery met with a road traffic accident (RTA) in Gumel, Jigawa State. Sadly, he was unable to be resuscitated at the nearest General Hospital where he was rushed to, as there was a lack of the N200 Cannula required for the procedure.   Sharing the heartbreaking account, a Nigerian doctor @osheguy revealed that the man cried out for help until he bled out.   He tweeted:

According to reports, the Jigawa Hisbah Board apprehended 14 suspected gay men and 12 rapists across the 27 local governments of the state in 2019.   The state's commandant, Ibrahim Dahiru Garki, disclosed at the Board’s headquarters in Dutse that these arrests occurred between January and December 2019.   Aside from the arrests, Garki also stated that the Hisbah officials detained over 200 prostitutes and 20 individuals allegedly involved in fornication in 2019. Moreover, 14 abandoned newborn babies were discovered during the same period.   All the suspects have been handed over to the police for prosecution in the relevant court of law.
