Sutton criticizes Bellingham’s behavior towards Kane in UCL

In the Champions League semi-finals first-leg clash between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, former Chelsea star Chris Sutton expressed his disapproval of Jude Bellingham’s actions towards his England teammate Harry Kane before his penalty.

Sutton characterized Bellingham’s behavior as a display of disrespect towards Kane, labeling it as unusual and surprising.

Despite the incident, Kane managed to convert the penalty as Bayern ended up drawing 2-2 with Real Madrid.

During Mail Sport’s It’s All Kicking Off podcast, Sutton remarked, “I was taken aback. Regardless of personal opinions, the key question is – how did Harry Kane perceive it? Does Kane, even after 24 hours, find it disrespectful? I believe he might. After all, they will both be representing England together in the upcoming Euros.”

Sutton further added, “Given the significance of the occasion and the forthcoming Euros, Bellingham’s actions to favor Real Madrid could be understood due to the pressure. However, I found it to be an odd move. Despite his remarkable performance at Dortmund and subsequent move to Madrid, some may now question if he is overstepping his boundaries with such behavior.”
