Suspected Female Kidnapper Apprehended in Ondo Community

An incident occurred on Wednesday, July 6 in Ikare Akoko, the headquarters of the Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State, where a woman was apprehended for allegedly abducting a girl.

According to a source in the community, the suspect took advantage of the absence of the victim’s mother to carry out the act.

“When the mother of the girl was not around the area, the kidnapper saw the girl, picked her up, and started to walk away,” the source stated.

“As she was leaving, a neighbor of the victim’s mother noticed the suspicious activity and called out for help. Upon seeing the people, the kidnapper attempted to flee but was eventually caught. Upon searching her bag, an Android phone with numerous missed calls and messages was discovered,” the source added.

An individual named Ismail Ololade Aisha, who shared a photo of the alleged victim, confirmed that both the victim and the suspect have been handed over to the Police Divisional Office at Oke Igbede Ikare for further investigation.
