Following an attempted robbery at a bank opposite Maplewood Estate, Oko Oba, a suspect has been apprehended after attempting to flee with his gang in the early hours of September 3.
The suspects were in the process of breaking the security doors to gain access when the state police command intervened to thwart the robbery, resulting in the arrest of one suspect.
The state police command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, stating that the police received a distress call at 4:20am and promptly responded to the scene.
