Super Eagles Star Kenneth Omeruo Speaks Up on Lack of Football Action Amid Coronavirus Crisis

Nigeria’s Kenneth Omeruo, who plays for Leganes in Spain, has shared his thoughts on the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, urging football fans to remain at home to help stop the spread of the disease.

The 26-year-old defender, who secured a permanent move to Leganes from Chelsea last summer, has participated in 19 league games despite the club’s current position at the bottom of the table.

With football in Spain, like the rest of the world, brought to a halt indefinitely to combat the virus, Omeruo took to Instagram to express his longing for the game and his hope for an end to the current situation.

“I miss the game; I hope this madness ends soon, but until then, please stay at home,” Omeruo wrote.
