Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Super Eagles, believes that a 1-0 win would be sufficient for his team to advance past the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

The Super Eagles narrowly progressed through the group stage, managing to score only two goals, one of which came from open play.
Given the abundance of attacking talents at the coach’s disposal, much more was anticipated from the team.
With the tournament now in the knockout stage, the Super Eagles must elevate their performance.
During a pre-match press briefing, the former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach stated, “We will strive for at least one goal, launch a strong attacking front, and defend collectively. By doing so, we can emerge victorious.”
He added, “I have extensively analyzed many past matches between both teams, but our primary objective is to secure a victory in the upcoming match.”
The winner of the Round of 16 clash will confront either Angola or Namibia in the quarter-final.
