Successful Raid on Terrorists Hideout in Kebbi Results in Rescue of Four Kidnapped Individuals

Early Tuesday morning saw the collaborative effort of troops from 8 Division, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and local vigilantes in a raid on a terrorists’ camp. The operation was fruitful as the troops managed to rescue four individuals who had been kidnapped. Furthermore, a significant amount of arms and ammunition were also recovered during the raid.

A statement signed by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Captain Yahaya Ibrahim, and shared on the Nigerian Army’s Facebook page revealed these details.

According to Captain Yahaya Ibrahim, the raid was carried out at the terrorists’ hideout in Sabon Gari Village, Shanga LGA of Kebbi state. The operation resulted in the neutralization of one terrorist, the rescue of four kidnapped individuals, and the recovery of 3 AK 47 rifles, 3 Magazines, 142 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition, and 2 pairs of camouflage uniforms.

Furthermore, Captain Yahaya Ibrahim mentioned that the four rescued males have been reunited with their families, and the pursuit of the wounded and escaping terrorists continues.
