Successful Operations by Troops in Kaduna and Borno States


Responding to distress calls after a bandits’ attack in Agunu Dutse Village, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigerian Army troops took swift action and rescued six hostages, including two women and four children, during a search and rescue mission.

An official statement on the Nigerian Army’s Facebook page mentioned that the rescued individuals have been safely reunited with their families.

During a fighting patrol, troops received intelligence about terrorists in Amale village, Kaduna North Local Government Area. In collaboration with local vigilantes, the troops engaged the terrorists, forcing them to abandon their weapons. The troops recovered an AK-47 rifle, a homemade gun, and a machete.

Concurrently, in a display of bravery, troops deployed for counter-terrorism operations in the North East and North West successfully thwarted multiple kidnap attempts on May 7, 2024, neutralizing terrorist threats and ensuring the safe return of victims to their families.

Meanwhile, in Borno State, troops swiftly responded to actionable intelligence and encountered ISWAP fighters in Kulukawiya Village, Nganzai Local Government Area. The confrontation led to the elimination of a terrorist and confiscation of a loaded AK-47 rifle. Additionally, a child who had been abducted by the fleeing terrorists was rescued and reunited with his father, Alhaji Musa.
