A group of local security agents, commonly referred to as Vigilantes, managed to successfully eliminate four bandits following an attack on an individual in Dan-Umaru village of Bena District in Kebbi State on Monday.
According to a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Ahmed Idris, the Director of Security at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi, AbdulRahman Usman, shared the details of this impressive feat.
Usman revealed that the vigilantes strategically positioned themselves and neutralized the bandits as they launched their attack on a village near the Dan-Umaru region at the border of Dadin Duniya in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
It was further reported that the victim of the initial attack is currently undergoing treatment in an undisclosed medical facility.
Usman stated, “As the bandits initiated their assault on the village, the vigilantes rapidly set up an ambush, successfully eliminating all four attackers as they retreated towards Zamfara State.”
He continued, “The bodies of the deceased were transported to Dan-Umaru village. This incident occurred near the border between Dan-Umaru and Dadin Duniya in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.”
