Story of a Woman who Acted Swiftly to Help an Accident Victim

A woman who is known for her philanthropic acts has shared a powerful account of coming across an accident victim in distress and her immediate response to get him to the hospital.

Aderonke Rene Ahmed, the founder of Visita Hospital, recounted how she encountered the injured individual while driving. The victim had been struck by a bus and despite a crowd of onlookers, no one was taking any action to assist and transport him to the hospital.

Ahmed took it upon herself to rush him to the hospital, where, she unfortunately experienced a lack of urgency from the hospital staff. Rather than focusing on providing immediate care, they prioritized payment, even though the situation clearly called for urgent medical attention.

She did what she could and eventually left when the patient indicated feeling better.

Her account sparked discussions about the value placed on human life in Nigeria, shedding light on the need for better emergency response and medical care.
