Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has disclosed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) manifesto was written at the house of Prof Pat Utomi in 2014.

The Vice President made this revelation at the 5th edition of Airtel Touching Lives in Lagos. He mentioned that a social safety initiative to specifically address poverty was included in the party’s manifesto.

According to a statement released by Osinbajo’s Senior Special Adviser on media and publicity, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo, Mr. Wale Edun, and Prof. Pat Utomi met at Pat’s home in 2014 to write portions of the APC manifesto. They all agreed on the importance of creating a social safety net for the people as a fundamental pillar of the party’s plans.

Regarding the feeding program initiated by the Buhari-led administration, Osinbajo mentioned its impact on 9.5 million children and the provision of loans to 2.2 million petty traders through the Social Investment Programmes.

He emphasized the need for more resources to support the program and highlighted the importance of the contribution from socially conscious companies like Airtel.
