Spyro’s Call for a Pause in Entertainment amidst #EndBadGovernance Protests

Renowned Nigerian artist, Spyro, has appealed for a temporary halt to entertainment activities in the country.

The plea was made by Spyro on Thursday amidst the widespread hunger protest under the hashtag #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria.

He also called on religious leaders to step in and offer their assistance.

In a recent Instagram story that has gained traction, the singer expressed his expectations for the government to heed the voices of the people and encouraged fellow celebrities to join the cause.

“I personally find it rather insensitive to share entertainment content at this time. The nation is in turmoil, and we are all feeling the impact whether we acknowledge it or not. I am personally affected and empathize with the common man’s struggles,” he stated.

“I refuse to stay silent, so I urge everyone with a platform to raise their voices. My hope is for the authorities to finally see our suffering and take concrete actions for the welfare of the citizens. #GODBLESSNIGERIA.

“I wish that religious leaders would advocate for the people like they did in the past… This is not the time for just prayers, but for action. Even the Bible emphasizes that ‘FAITH without WORKS is dead.’ In ancient times, religious figures were instrumental in challenging the government and fighting for the people’s freedom. MOSES, your people need you now,” he added.
