The Nigerian artist, Victony, born Anthony Ebuka Victor, credits his breakthrough in the music industry to his popular track ‘Soweto.’
In his recent conversation with Sound City, he emphasized how this global hit transformed his life’s course.
Reflecting on the impact, he shared, “The song ‘Soweto’ had a profound effect on my life. It opened doors for me to explore places I never thought I’d reach so quickly.”
He continued, “By the end of 2022, the song had already garnered significant success. To sustain that momentum in 2023, we collaborated with renowned artists like Don Toliver and Rema for the remix. Their reputation and musical styles complemented the essence of ‘Soweto’ perfectly.”
Victony also revealed his current status as an independent musician.
