South-West Muslims urged to make sacrifices for Nigeria’s restoration, says Tinubu

In a meeting with a delegation of South-West Muslim faithful, led by Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu emphasized the need for sacrifice from citizens and religious leaders in order to restore Nigeria to its rightful position in the international community. Tinubu assured Nigerians that even though the nation is currently facing challenges, better days are ahead.

Tinubu spoke about the importance of believing in Nigeria and its future. He expressed confidence that the country’s economy will improve for the benefit of its citizens, emphasizing that the government is working diligently to achieve this.

The President explained that his administration’s policies aim to create a fair, better, and honest society where hard work is rewarded and laziness is discouraged. He acknowledged that the current situation may seem complex and challenging, but he reassured everyone that it will eventually get better.

Tinubu also mentioned the difficult decision of removing the petroleum subsidy, highlighting that this was necessary for Nigeria’s sustainability. He emphasized the importance of leadership making tough choices at the right time and for the right reasons, citing that successful nations throughout history have faced similar challenges.
