Jude Ighalo’s wife, Sonia, who reverted to her maiden name “Adesuwa” on March 20, has responded to her critics.
It was reported yesterday that Sonia sparked speculation of a marital crisis weeks ago when she posted shady comments on her Instastory. In her posts, she alleged that her husband staged a party shortly after the loss of his sister. She also claimed that he was “celebrating in the name of an orphanage” while his late sister’s children, now orphans, were struggling in Canada. Her recent decision to change her Instagram handle from @sjighalo24 to @adesuwa30 added fuel to the fire of marital trouble rumors.
In response to the ensuing criticism, Sonia stated that those criticizing her never knew her husband when he was playing for lower clubs or when he missed a goal at the 2018 World Cup. She also hinted that she was present when her husband signed a 6-month contract with Manchester United in January.
