Singer Oxlade expresses frustration over boycott by music industry gatekeepers

Oxlade, whose real name is Ikuforiji Olaitan, recently revealed that he is facing exclusion within the Nigerian music scene.

He disclosed that some key figures in the industry are intentionally avoiding him, and certain senior artists are also trying to sabotage him.

Furthermore, he mentioned that some of his peers who have emulated his music style are now spreading rumors about him.

Expressing his dismay, he stated, “Several individuals are adopting my sound and yet others are undermining me. Why me?

“Certain gatekeepers are deliberately sidelining me. Established artists are resorting to manipulation against me,” he articulated during a recent spontaneous performance on Glitch Africa.
