Siminalayi Fubara Vows to Prioritize People-Centered Governance; Extends N100m Support to Church

In a commitment to serving the people, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, emphasizes the importance of making a positive impact through governance.

He points out that those who pursue absolute power often become consumed by it, leading to a disregard for the rights and freedoms of the people they are meant to serve.

Despite facing significant challenges, particularly in his strained relationship with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, Fubara remains optimistic about overcoming obstacles.

Speaking at the dedication of a child in the Royal House of Grace International Church, Fubara expressed his belief in divine guidance and the ultimate power of God.

He acknowledged the church’s unwavering support through prayers and made a generous donation of N100m during the event.

Fubara stated, “I am immensely grateful for your prayers and support. Despite the adversities faced, we have stood firm, upheld by the grace of God.

“Our governance will be guided by the interests of the people, with a dedication to upholding integrity and justice. I see my role as a guardian of the state, not a ruler, and I will govern with reverence for God.”

He affirmed his commitment to leadership that fosters inclusivity and freedom for all residents, ensuring accountability and a legacy of service.
