Sim Fubara Launches Live Band Amid Rivers Crisis

Sim Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has unveiled his own live band, following in the footsteps of his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

The band made its debut shortly after Gov Fubara’s address at the commencement of the construction of 20,000 Housing units in the Ikwere area of the state.

The live band enthusiastically performed the song, “Dey your day make I dey my dey, nobody worry nobody,” much to the delight of the audience.

This new addition comes at a time of heightened political tension in the state.

Wike, who serves as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has been embroiled in a power struggle with the current Governor, Fubara, for control of the state.

In response to the defection of 27 state lawmakers loyal to Wike to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the state government reportedly demolished the state Assembly complex citing structural integrity concerns.

To date, approximately seven Commissioners have resigned from Fubara’s state executive council.
