Shehu Sani calls on the Federal Government to close down Chinese supermarket denying entry to Nigerians

Demolishing a Chinese supermarket located in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, is being advocated for by former federal lawmaker Shehu Sani, as the supermarket is accused of preventing Nigerians from shopping there.

Allegations surfaced that the management of the supermarket, positioned at the China General Chamber of Commerce along Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Road in Abuja, instructed security personnel not to allow Nigerians inside.

This incident has sparked outrage among concerned Nigerians, who are insisting that the Nigerian government compel the supermarket to accept citizens.

In his reaction, Shehu Sani stated that the establishment should be brought down in compliance with the country’s laws.

Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker, expressed perplexity on Monday about why a supermarket in Nigeria would be off-limits to its own citizens.

Regarding the situation, Sani remarked, “Any Supermarket in our Country that is not accessible to the Citizens of Our Country but to foreigners, should be forcibly opened or be pulled down in accordance with the laws of our Country”.
