Shakira’s musical preferences can be summed up in three words – eclectic, honest, and genuine. She elaborated, stating, “My taste in music is diverse and authentic. I particularly enjoy the vibes of Afrobeats. Tyla and Burna Boy have caught my attention, and I hold a special admiration for Burna.”
It’s worth noting that Shakira incorporated the African track ‘Zangaléwa’ by Cameroonian group Golden Sounds into her official song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, titled ‘Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)’.
