Commending the performance of Shooting Stars in the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League, the Oyo State Government has expressed satisfaction.
Speaking at the Lekan Salami Stadium after the Oluyole Warriors’ final match of the season on Sunday, State Governor Seyi Makinde highlighted the achievements of the team.
Makinde pledged to take all necessary measures to secure a continental slot for the team in the upcoming season.
Addressing the club’s media, he remarked, “The team has shown great improvement in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), securing fourth place compared to the previous season.”
He added, “There is still room for the team to achieve more, and we will regroup to strive towards our objective of qualifying for the continental championship next season.”
Shooting Stars concluded their NPFL campaign in fourth place with 62 points.
