For the vacant head coach position with the Super Eagles, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has selected seven coaches.
Among those shortlisted for the role is Finidi George, who currently serves as the team’s interim head coach.
Finidi recently led the Super Eagles during friendly matches against Ghana and Mali.
Jose Peseiro, the previous coach, saw his contract end, prompting the NFF to open up the position for new applicants.
Under Peseiro’s guidance, the Super Eagles achieved a commendable second place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Both local and foreign coaches submitted their applications to the NFF for consideration.
The official appointment of a head coach for the Super Eagles is anticipated to take place next month.
