Putting an end to speculation, former Manchester City forward Sergio Agüero has denied reports suggesting that he will be practicing with Argentinian team Independiente.
Having stepped away from professional football in December 2021 at the age of 33 due to a heart condition, Agüero was last playing for Barcelona following his departure from City.
Recent rumors had surfaced about his potential return from retirement.
However, Agüero has now clarified, stating: “It’s completely false – I have no plans to train with Independiente.
“At times, stories are fabricated. I want to emphasize that the cardiologist confirmed my good health status. Nevertheless, if I were to contemplate training at a top level like the First Division, I would need to undergo numerous assessments.”
