Within the current economic challenges, Mike Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), cautions that the Naira might reach N4000 against the US dollar by the end of 2024.
Ozekhome pointed out the absence of signs indicating an improvement in the Naira’s value against the dollar.
He made these observations during an appearance on the Politics Today program on Channels TV this Tuesday.
He expressed, “There is a possibility that by the end of this year, the Naira could be valued at N4000 against the dollar due to the absence of appropriate measures in place.”
“If we are not vigilant, we could find ourselves in a situation akin to Ghana where individuals were seen transporting large quantities of cedis in baskets to purchase goods and stuff them into their pockets,” he added.
“Why are Bureau De Change operators conducting our economic affairs under makeshift settings like trees and tables?”
