Senior Adviser Resigns from NNPP, Joins APC

Abdulrahman Muhammad Sulaiman, also known as Mai-Kadama, a Senior Special Adviser to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, has resigned from his position and switched political allegiance from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) after meeting with Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin.

Sulaiman, who held the position of Governor Yusuf’s Senior Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship, made the abrupt announcement of his defection following a meeting with Barau Jibrin in Abuja.

Prior to his switch, Mai-Kadama had held various roles, including leading the Kwankwasiyya movement in Plateau State and heading the G-6 faction in Kano State.

In a Facebook post, Jibrin stated that Mai-Kadama joined the APC with the goal of promoting good governance and fostering development.

According to Jibrin’s post, “Mai-Kadama Maliya” made the decision to join APC and resign from various leadership positions within NNPP and Kwankwasiyya to support the party’s efforts in advancing governance and development.

Mai-Kadama encouraged his young political allies to join APC with the aim of delivering more democratic benefits to the people.

Jibrin reiterated the commitment of APC to improving the welfare of the citizens and urged others to join hands in achieving this goal.
