Senator Okpebholo vows to protect Edo workers from consultants

During a speech in Benin to members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo South, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC governorship candidate in Edo State, pledged to ensure that civil servants are not replaced by consultants if he wins the election on September 21.

He emphasized that under his administration, civil servants in Edo State will have job security without external interference. He assured, “There will be no consultants coming from somewhere to do their jobs. We will give them a chance to do their job. Their salaries would be guaranteed and no one would reduce their salary.”

Senator Okpebholo also outlined plans for comprehensive development if elected, promising improvements in education, security, health, infrastructure, and other sectors across the state.

He stated, “We are going to declare a state of emergency in our education, security, health and infrastructure and others once we are elected into office in the state so that things will work again in Edo.”

Former Edo State governor and current senator for Edo North, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, urged the electorate to support the APC candidate in the upcoming election, dismissing the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the state as ineffective.

Oshiomhole expressed confidence that Senator Okpebholo will liberate the people from the alleged hardships caused by Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration, ensuring progress and development for Edo State.
