Senator from Kaduna Criticizes Group Threatening Recall

In response to a group called Kaduna Peace and Tranquility Forum threatening to mobilize for his recall from the National Assembly due to alleged non-performance, Senator Lawal Adamu representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, expressed his discontent.

Known as “Senator LA” by his supporters, Adamu condemned the group’s demand for him to provide an account of his tenure within 14 days since his election.

During a press briefing, the KPTF accused the senator of underperformance and demanded he explain his role as the district’s representative in the National Assembly.

Issuing a statement via his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Segun Olatunji, Adamu dismissed the KPTF’s criticism as a self-serving attempt to mislead the public for personal political gain.

Appealing to the residents of Kaduna Central senatorial district and the public in Kaduna State, Adamu cautioned against being swayed by the KPTF’s rhetoric.

He also disregarded the group’s threats of recall from the National Assembly, advising the district’s residents to remain composed and ignore the unsubstantiated claims.

Emphasizing the importance of his position as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education and Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Financial Matters, Adamu highlighted the seriousness of his responsibilities and dismissed the KPTF’s allegations.

He questioned the credibility of the group, suggesting their criticism lacked substance and credibility.

Adamu asserted his commitment to effecting meaningful change and dismissed the KPTF’s actions as a farcical attempt to discredit him.

Highlighting his achievements in education, infrastructure development, and economic empowerment, Adamu reaffirmed his dedication to serving the people of Kaduna Central Senatorial District.

The senator mentioned his contribution towards the education of indigent students and efforts in securing the release of kidnap victims in Kuriga, showcasing his commitment to the welfare of his constituents.

In a final statement, Adamu criticized the KPTF for its lack of understanding of his contributions to the community and vowed to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of Kaduna Central Senatorial District.
