Senate President Lawan and a delegation visited Orji Uzor Kalu after his release from Kuje prison. The lawmakers, including Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege, Senate Leader Yahaya Abdullahi, Senate Minority Leader Enyinnaya Abaribe, and Deputy Whip Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, visited the residence of Orji Uzor Kalu on Thursday, June 4. Kalu had been released from prison on Wednesday, June 3, after being jailed for several months following his arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on 36 counts of money laundering totaling N7.1 billion.
