Upon his release from prison this week, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, alongside other senators, visited Abia-born lawmaker Orji Uzor Kalu at his residence on Thursday, June 4.
Following his arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on 36 counts of money laundering amounting to N7.1 billion, the Chief Whip of the upper legislative chamber, Orji Uzor Kalu, regained his freedom on Wednesday, June 3.
Other senators who joined in the visit to Orji Uzor Kalu’s residence include Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, Senate Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi, Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe and Deputy Whip, Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi.
