In a bold prediction, former England manager Sam Allardyce has voiced his belief that Arsenal will emerge victorious in the Premier League this season.
Allardyce is convinced that the Gunners have learned valuable lessons from finishing as runners-up to Manchester City in the previous two seasons.
Reflecting on the 2022/2023 season where Pep Guardiola’s side secured the title with a five-point lead, Allardyce noted that Arsenal managed to close the gap to just two points in the following 2023/2024 season.
According to Allardyce, “I think Arsenal have been on an upward trajectory over the last couple of seasons. They came agonizingly close last year, and the year before that, they missed out when they should have clinched it.”
He further expressed his confidence in Arsenal’s improved squad, citing the additional reinforcements that have been made. He believes these changes will enable Arsenal to challenge Manchester City more fiercely.
“That’s why I am backing Arsenal to edge past Man City this time around,” Allardyce concluded.
