On Monday morning, 31 evacuees fleeing from the Russia-Ukraine War arrived in Nigeria from Romania. This group marks the seventh batch of Nigerian evacuees from Ukraine and the second set of evacuees from Romania since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. They were airlifted from Romania and arrived aboard a Turkish airline. The evacuees touched down at 6:30 am and were welcomed by officials of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), and the Refugee Commission.
