Rumors swirl: Joao Felix could be on his way back to Chelsea after Omorodion’s transfer falls through

According to Mail Sport, there are talks of Atletico Madrid forward, Joao Felix, making a surprising return to Chelsea.

This comes as a result of the collapse of the potential transfer of his teammate to the Premier League club.

Although both clubs had reached an agreement on a £34.5 million fee for Omorodion, the deal fell apart due to complications in finalizing the contract details.

Atletico had been looking to offload Omorodion to balance their transfers for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher and Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez.

While those transfers are on track, Atletico still needs to make a sale.

The discussions around Felix have been reignited, as he had previously been on loan at Stamford Bridge and attracted interest from Aston Villa.

Felix, who netted four goals in 20 matches for Chelsea, spent the last season on loan at Barcelona where he found the net 10 times in 44 appearances.
