Reports suggest that Youssouf Fofana, the midfielder from Monaco, has declined the possibility of joining Manchester United.
Fofana’s preference is to secure a transfer to AC Milan during this summer transfer window.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the French international has set his sights on a move to Milan either in the current transfer window or when his contract with Monaco expires next year.
Despite receiving an offer from West Ham which he rejected, Fofana is prepared to do the same if Manchester United shows interest.
Allegedly, the 25-year-old has reached a four-year agreement with Milan, but the negotiations between the two clubs are facing obstacles.
It is believed that Fofana will not be allowed to leave for a fee below £17 million.
