Rotimi Akeredolu, Governor of Ondo state, overcomes COVID-19

Following a positive test result for COVID-19 on June 30, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state has declared his recovery from the virus at a press conference on Monday, July 6.

The governor, who underwent supervised home management during his isolation period, shared that his latest test results have returned negative.

”I tested positive for the virus and immediately went into isolation with supervised home management. Those days in isolation were defining periods for me. After some days in isolation, our team of doctors decided to take my sample and I was tested again in accordance with the treatment protocol of COVID19. The result came earlier today. I tested negative,” he said.
