Robert Lewandowski Dismisses Kylian Mbappe’s Threats in LaLiga

Downplaying any concerns about Kylian Mbappe’s impact on La Liga, Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski has made it clear that he is not fazed by the Frenchman’s presence.

Mbappe departed Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent last season to sign with Real Madrid, taking on the coveted no.9 jersey typically donned by top strikers.

Known for his versatility in attack, Mbappe can operate on the wings or as a central striker, showcasing his prowess as one of the best attackers of his generation with 256 goals for PSG.

Despite their age gap of 10 years, Lewandowski, also highly acclaimed for his goal-scoring abilities, emphasized that his playing style differs from Mbappe’s, presenting a fresh source of motivation for him.

In a statement reported by Barca Universal, Lewandowski commented, “I don’t believe Mbappe plays as a striker in the same way I do. His position on the field and style of play are distinct. This brings a new dimension to our approach and energizes us for the upcoming season.”
