Rivers state government discharges second COVID19 patient

The second patient with COVID-19 in Rivers is set to be discharged today, April 17th. Governor Nyesom Wike announced this during a press conference at the Government House. “The second case which was recorded and taken to the treatment center has now tested negative and will be discharged this morning, thanks to God for His mercy,” he stated. The governor praised the efforts of health officials and security personnel in containing the spread of the virus in the state. Currently, the state has only one confirmed case of COVID-19.
