Emphasizing the openness of the Chinese market to foreign entities, China’s number two official disclosed the sentiment conveyed to Musk. Li Qiang affirmed that China’s vast market will always be accessible to foreign-funded enterprises, reiterating their steadfast commitment to expanding market opportunities and enhancing service assurances.
Expressing his appreciation, Musk conveyed in a post on X how honored he felt to have met with Li Qiang. Musk reminisced about their longstanding acquaintance, dating back to the early days in Shanghai.
Musk’s rendezvous with Li Qiang coincided with Chinese automakers showcasing their latest electric vehicle innovations at the Beijing Motor Show held from April 25 to May 5.
