Reunion with Funke Akindele on New Movie Set Leaves Juliana Olayode Emotional

Displaying her dance skills and expressing her joy at rejoining Funke’s Scene One TV family, Juliana shared a video on Instagram.

Nigerian actress Juliana Olayode has expressed her excitement after reuniting with her colleague and mentor, Funke Akindele, on the set of a new film project.

Juliana is part of the cast for Funke’s new film, A Tribe Called Judah, which also stars Ebele Okaro, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Timini Egbuson, and others.

Fans flooded her Instagram account with messages of delight as she reunites with the filmmaker six years after her emotional departure from Funke’s blockbuster series, Jenifa’s Diary.

The rift between the two actresses started in 2017 when Juliana was dismissed from the show due to financial issues.

However, in a lengthy Instagram post in May 2023, the 27-year-old acknowledged her lack of understanding of the movie industry as the cause behind hurting Funke, whom she praised as the person God used to elevate her.

Once again, Juliana shared a video on Instagram, showcasing her dance talents and expressing her joy at rejoining Funke’s Scene One TV family.

In her caption, she thanked Funke for granting her the role of Hilda in A Tribe Called Judah and expressed how overwhelmed she was to be working with Funke, even shedding tears on set.

She wrote; “Get ready! A Tribe Called Judah is hitting the cinemas on the 15th of December. Save the date.

“Thank you for all the excitement and messages since I posted the video introducing the characters of A Tribe Called Judah yesterday. I’m sharing this reel so you can see how thrilled I am, just like you are. I was so excited I cried on set. Thank you so much mama @funkejenifaakindele for the opportunity to play Hilda. You are simply the BEST.”
