Reports indicate that certain individuals believed to be thugs have started issuing threats to residents in Lagos, warning them not to participate in a planned hunger protest scheduled for Thursday, August 1 to 10.
A video circulating online showed unidentified individuals cautioning market vendors against joining the proposed protest, citing potential risks of escalated damage similar to the #EndSARS demonstrations.
Challenging the public, one of the voices in the clip stated, “If you truly have the courage, show up on Thursday for the protest. Is your situation the only dire one?”
The individuals in the video further threatened, “Anyone who dares to take part in the protest will face severe consequences.”
