Report: Osimhen Considering Move to Saudi Arabia

Reports from the Italian publication Tutto Napoli suggest that Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian international, is now considering a potential move to Saudi Arabia due to frustrations over ongoing negotiations between Napoli and interested parties like Paris Saint-Germain.

Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal are reportedly preparing to make new offers for Osimhen as he is eager to resolve his future before the upcoming season begins.

Known as one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, Osimhen has drawn interest from top clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Liverpool. However, his €130m release clause has deterred many suitors, leaving PSG as the sole European club still interested in signing him.

Negotiations between Napoli and PSG have hit a roadblock, with reports indicating that PSG may need to offload either Gancalo Ramos or Randal Kolo-Muani before finalizing a deal for Osimhen.

Despite his readiness to depart Napoli this summer, Osimhen’s preference is to stay in Europe and compete for major trophies. In the past, he turned down offers from Saudi Arabian clubs, but now, he is willing to consider potential moves to the Middle East.

Tutto Napoli highlighted Osimhen’s current stance, mentioning, “Victor Osimhen is growing tired of delays in negotiations with PSG and is signaling interest in Saudi Arabia.”

Osimhen’s lucrative contract with Napoli has created complexities in his transfer, prompting his team to explore options outside Europe, especially following PSG’s failure to meet Napoli’s demands.

The 25-year-old striker, who joined Napoli from Lille in 2020 for a record fee, has been a standout performer for the team, notably leading them to a Scudetto victory in the 2022/23 season with 26 league goals, securing him the top scorer accolade.
