It is with great sadness that we announce the demise of Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, the talented designer credited with creating the iconic Nigerian Flag. He passed away at the age of 84.
Akinkunmi’s son, Akinkunmi Akinwumi Samuel, confirmed his father’s passing through a heartfelt Facebook post.
In his post, he wrote, “Life is indeed fleeting, but I can confidently say that you lived a life of significance. Rest in peace, my father!
“Pa Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi (O.F.R), a truly remarkable man, has left us.”
