Remo Stars have what it takes to clinch NPFL title – Ogunmodede

Expressing confidence, Remo Stars’ head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, has boldly stated that his team is well-positioned to secure the Nigeria Premier Football League championship this season.

The Ikenne-based club narrowed the gap to just one point behind the league leaders, Rangers, following a thrilling 2-1 victory over Rivers United at home on Monday.

In contrast, Rangers’ head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has downplayed their title prospects despite leading the league standings.

Ogunmodede emphasized that the title is within reach for Remo Stars and they are prepared to battle relentlessly to clinch it.

He stated, “I believe the title is within our sights, especially since my friend (Fidelis Ilechukwu) mentioned they are still under construction. This gives us the opportunity to capitalize on their rebuilding phase and aim for the championship trophy,” Ogunmodede conveyed to the club’s media.

The Sky Blue Stars secured a commendable second-place finish in the NPFL last season.
