Record-Breaking Feat: Nigerian Food Enthusiast Visits 150 Fast Food Establishments in 24 Hours!

In a remarkable accomplishment, Munachimso Nwana, a 22-year-old content creator and food consultant, has set a new world record by visiting 150 fast-food restaurants within a span of 24 hours.

The astounding feat took place in Abuja and surpassed the previous record of 100 restaurants, which was established last year by American YouTuber Airrack.

As per the announcement from Guinness World Records on Wednesday on its website, Munachimso’s journey commenced at Chicken Republic in the Gwarinpa residential district and culminated at Kilimanjaro in the city center.

Throughout his challenge, he covered a distance of over 25 kilometers, as the rules forbade the use of private transportation for this record-breaking attempt.

Reflecting on his experience, Munachimso remarked, “While New York boasts restaurant clusters and efficient public transport systems, attempting this feat in Abuja was considerably more challenging and daunting.”

To fulfill the record criteria, Munachimso made sure to purchase and consume at least one food or beverage item at each establishment, with food items accounting for 75% of the orders.

He savored a wide array of dishes, ranging from shawarma, pizza, fried chicken, and burgers to his beloved Nigerian delicacies like moin moin (bean pudding) and àmàlà (a Nigerian swallow dish).

Despite the substantial amount of food consumed, Munachimso ensured that no food went to waste, as both his team and members of the public shared in the remaining meals.

Munachimso’s drive behind taking on this challenge was to shine a spotlight on Abuja’s diverse restaurant landscape and showcase the vibrancy of Nigerian cuisine.

“This record emphasizes the significance of the Nigerian culinary scene. I urge individuals worldwide to come and immerse themselves in the world of Nigerian cuisine,” he expressed.
