Victor Osimhen, the Napoli player, has been recommended by former Liverpool defender, Steve Nicol, as a player Arsenal should consider signing.
There are rumors indicating Osimhen’s departure from Napoli during this summer transfer window.
The Nigerian footballer has attracted interest from clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Nicol believes that Arsenal should prioritize signing Osimhen over Kai Havertz due to Osimhen’s efficiency in converting goal-scoring chances.
Expressing his opinion on ESPN FC, Nicol emphasized, “If you had to choose between [Kai] Havertz and [Victor] Osimhen, the obvious choice should be Osimhen.”
He further added, “When it comes down to a critical moment in a game where you need to convert a chance, Osimhen can be more reliable compared to Havertz.”
Nicol pointed out that while Havertz may have scored in the Champions League final, he tends to take more risks in front of goal, unlike Osimhen who demonstrates a more clinical approach.
