The arrest of rapper Tory Lanez on a gun charge occurred after a fight broke out at a house party, resulting in Megan Thee Stallion being hospitalized. The incident took place in Hollywood Hills on Sunday, July 12. Lanez was taken into custody at approximately 4:30 a.m. after a gun was discovered in his vehicle. Megan Thee Stallion, who suffered a glass wound to her foot during the party, was in Lanez’s vehicle when he was arrested.
The American rapper Megan Thee Stallion was subsequently hospitalized, and police classified her as a ‘victim’ in the altercation. Law enforcement arrived at the party’s location in response to reports of an argument involving Lanez, with witnesses informing TMZ that gunfire occurred before an SUV fled the scene. After receiving information about the SUV, police located it and found Tory, Megan, an unidentified woman, and a gun inside. Additionally, law enforcement found four shell casings outside the home.
Lanez faced a felony charge for carrying a concealed weapon and was detained on a $35K bail. Prior to the arrest, Megan Thee Stallion and Lanez had been seen at a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s residence, as evidenced by their appearance on her Instagram Live feed.
