Rapper, Idowest, Explains His Decision to Identify as Igbo

In a surprising revelation, indigenous rapper Idowest, born a Yoruba, has expressed his desire to now be recognized as an Igbo individual.

During a recent reflection on the country’s challenges and criticism towards some Yoruba individuals opposing the planned ‘#EndBadGovernance’ protest, the Yoruba-speaking rapper shared his thoughts.

He criticized those against the nationwide protests, labeling them as driven by emotions.

Idowest took to his Snapchat account to convey his message, writing, “Your father supports Tinubu, yet you oppose the protest; your audacity baffles me. The world is full of uncertainties.”

He continued, “Corrupt governance! It’s disheartening to see Yoruba people advocating for only Yoruba interests! Such ignorance. Henceforth, I embrace the Igbo culture.”

He further added, “You are sacrificing your future for a meager sum. Shameful.

“The problems in Nigeria come from Nigerians! Some are preparing for a peaceful demonstration, yet there are individuals rejecting it. All for the sake of a small reward.”

“Why reject the protest? All for a trivial amount. Your misfortune is imminent.”
