Rapper Gillie Da Kid’s 25-year-old son killed in triple shooting in Philadelphia

The 25-year-old son of American rapper and podcast host Gillie Da Kid, YNG Cheese, was killed in a triple shooting in Philadelphia. The shooting took place on the 5800 block of Mascher Street on Thursday night, July 20, with police responding to the scene at 8:24pm. A 25-year-old man was shot once in the back and later pronounced dead at 8:39pm, while a 28-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, who were also shot, were reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities have not disclosed the victim’s identity, but a close source to the family confirmed that the deceased was YNG Cheese, a local rapper and Gillie Da Kid’s son. Gillie Da Kid, also known as Nasir Fard, is a notable figure in Philadelphia’s underground hip-hop scene and was a member of the local hip-hop group Major Figgas.

Rapper Wallo267, whose real name is Wallace Peeples, confirmed the tragic news on Instagram, sharing several pictures of YNG Cheese and expressing his grief over the loss.
