Rangers Coach Commends Balogun’s Exceptional Performance against Heart

Highlighting the pivotal role he played, Rangers manager Philippe Clement praised Leon Balogun for his contribution to the team’s 2-0 victory over Heart.

Balogun, who had not started a game since February, featured in the Scottish Cup semi-final encounter.

Teaming up with John Souttar in central defense, the 33-year-old displayed an outstanding performance, showcasing his experience and composure that positively influenced his teammates.

After the game, Clement lauded Balogun’s superb display, emphasizing his hunger and desire in both coaching and duels.

Speaking to Rangers TV, the coach stated, “I think he [Leon Balogun] was massive today, he played a really good game in the coaching and in the duels with his hunger and desire, so I know I have four really good centre-backs and this season they have all played.”

He added, “That is a thing for the next couple of weeks as a team performance and all going forward together in this chase for the title.”
