Following their 3-1 victory over Green Foot FC in the Round 32 women’s President Federation Cup match, Sunshine Queens head coach, Rafiu Oseni, lauded his team’s performance.
The Owena Whales secured the win at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Wednesday, with goals from Suliyat Ajibade, Ajibade Taiwo, and Bolaji Olamide.
Oseni expressed confidence in the team’s progression in the competition, stating, “Sunshine Queens is a very strong team. We will address our weaknesses and strive for improvement before our next match once we return to our base.”
Acknowledging the efforts of their opponents, Oseni added, “Our opponents put up a good fight and proved their capabilities. However, our experience, hard work, and divine favor helped us secure the win.”
The remaining Round of 32 fixtures are set to take place on Thursday at various venues.
